Our Story
Green Studio of Architecture + Design
Green Studio was formed in 2004 by Architect Michael Rosen and Designer Jena Rosen as a comprehensive design solution for our ecological self-sustainable homes, retreats, and restaurant design projects. We understood the conditions the earth was facing, and green design as the solution. This formed the basis of our design in all the projects. The clients benefit from our design, and have a choice to enjoy the California lifestyle in a healthy, beautiful space designed in harmony with the site and balance their life needs.
Green Studio concepts strongly reinforces sustainable design by using innovative design and energy efficient technology with low impact assemblies that eliminate greenhouse gasses. We use durable materials without toxins, or red list contents that create a healthier place to live and work. Eliminating indoor polutants the indoor air quality is replenished with air thru a Energy recovery Ventilator, EMT radiation shielding, and water filtration provide a dwelling environment that has clean air and water within the project. All Designs include an indoor/outdoor garden designed space, daylighting, quiet sleeping, work quarters, and excellent floor plans.
We added Design + Build with prefabricated factory built components and form work designed for on-site assembly to provide cost competitive construction and performance for clients as a necessary part of realizing projects. The balanced delivery: design / building provides the greatest value in cost, schedule, design, quality, and performance. Together with the addition of Passive House in 2020 provides the 8 dimensions of Architecture performance to our projects.
